CAS Autumn Conference 17 November

November 17, 2018 all-day
Faculty of Law, 10 West Road, Cambridge
Cambridge CB3 9DZ
Cambridge Antiquarian Society
The Cambridge Antiquarian Society is gearing up to host the Autumn Conference on ‘Recent Archaeological Field Work in Cambridgeshire’ on Saturday 17th November. This is a great opportunity to meet people from both local societies and the professional archaeological sectors, there is also a chance to buy archaeological books (please also bring along any unwanted books) and listen to a range of archaeologists talking about their most recent work.
The whole day is excellent value at only £10 per person, which you pay on the door so there is no need to book. There is also a reduced fee of a £5 ‘digger rate’. The doors will open at 10am, with displays of finds and exhibitions, before the 11.20am start. The programme for the day is attached to this email, and it is worth also printing out a copy of this and bringing it with you.
The venue is: Room LG19, Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge, 10 West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9DZ and please also remember to bring plenty of cash with you, both for lunch (there is a cafe on site) and for any other purchases.
We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you along on the 17th of November!
Please also note: the CAS Christmas social will be held BEFORE the lecture on the 3rd December, from 5pm in the atrium area on the lower ground floor of the Law Faculty. It will be very informal and will include the chance to have some wine (or juice) with a mince pie and other nibbles before the last CAS talk of the year, starting at 6pm. Unfortunately, we cannot hold the social after the lecture as out of University term time, the Law Faculty closes at 7pm sharp!
