MEDIEVAL GRAFFITI – THE LOST VOICES OF ENGLAND’S CHURCHES
This talk, on Medieval Graffiti, promises to be a fascinating look at a this rarely discussed topic. The St Neots History Society are very lucky to be able to engage the speaker, Matthew Champion, for the evening. Matthew is widely regarded as the leading authority on the subject in the country.
If walls could speak they would reveal how they hold the key to the real life stories of medieval men and women lost in the shadows of history.
Hear about the medieval beasts, knights battling unseen dragons, ships sailing across lime-washed oceans and the many demons who stalk the walls of our churches.
The talk will be at Eynesbury Junior School on Friday 1st June beginning at 7:30pm. The event is free to all members of the St Neots History Society, non members are asked to pay a donation of £3.
