The Society is affiliated to the British Association for Local History and to the Cambridge Antiquarian Society.

It is also represented on the Advisory Group on Archives of Cambridgeshire County Council, the Cambridgeshire Archaeological Committee, the Cambridgeshire Curators' Panel, and the committees of the Cambridgeshire Records Society and Huntingdonshire Association for Tourism.

The Huntingdonshire Archives and Huntingdon Library are both situated in a new building in Princes Street.

The Society has close ties with the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon, with the Huntingdonshire Archives in Huntingdon,
and with the Norris Museum in St Ives.
