Wednesday 10th April: Huntingdon Methodist Church – Joanne Sear: Beniffiting the Soul – Life, Religion and the Church in Late Medieval Huntingdonshire.

Studies have suggested that during the Hennrician Reformation the prople of Lincoln Diocese, incuding the Archdeaconry of Huntingdon, held firm to the ‘Old Faith’, and were reluctant supporters of the new form of Christianity.

This talk surveys religion in late medieval society and examines the evidence, suggesting the people of Huntingdonshire truly embraced Catholicism

The talk is open to non members, but we ask for a small donation of £3 per guest to help with support of the costs of the evening.

After the talk please join us for tea and coffee and the chance to talk with the speaker and catch up with other members of the Society
