For those who have yet to visit the new Archives facility at Ely, this is a golden opportunity to experience the extensive facilities and records available to the public. In 2026 we visited the Huntingdonshire Archives to study a few of their maps and enclosure documents, in particular documents related to Mrs Olivia Sparrow of Brampton and her relatives, the Dukes of Manchester. At Ely, we will explore some of the documents related to Huntingdonshire and the wider County of Cambridgeshire. The documents in question will be chosen by the current archivist in conjunction with our Chairman, Philip Saunders, who is a retired County Archivist. If there are any specific documents that anyone wishes to view, or particular parts of the County, please pass your request to Philip via the email info@huntslhs.org.uk.

Although there is a large viewing and research room at the Archives, space available is limited. If you wish to visit the Archives please sendn your request to David Smith at info@huntslhs.org.uk
