The line was a very important one , openend over 180 years ago. Our visit will start with a guided tour of the engine sheds and workshops, Afterwards we will have chance to stop off for a light lunch at the Wansford Refreshment Room before departing at 1300, on a scenic journey on the railway by Swedish deisel railcar to the Peterborough station arriving at 13:38. You can either go back to Wansford on the same train departing Peterborough at 13:50 arriving Wansford at 14:13. Or, take the opportinity to explore the Peterborough terminus, departing Peterborough at 15:20, arriving Wansford at 15:43.
Located immediately adjacent to the Peterborough Station, Railworld Wildlife Haven, offers a unique mix of wildlife habitats, landscaped gardens and model railways, making it a popular nearby attraction for families and enthusiasts.
