Cambridge Antiquarian Society Autumn Conference

November 18, 2017 @ 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
Room LG19, Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge
Cambridge CB3 9DZ
The CAS Autumn Conference which is being held on Saturday November 18. There is no need to book as tickets are on sale at the door.
The conference this year focuses on recent archaeology in the Cambridgeshire region, and it can be no surprise that the archaeological excavations of Northstowe and the A14 feature heavily throughout the day. Archaeology on such a massive scale offers a unique opportunity to understand how various communities lived and interacted with others; in the days long before modern transport and a congested A14. This conference provides an update on archaeological excavations that are just starting to reveal their secrets and the day’s programme is certainly one not to be missed.
Please remember to bring cash to buy lunch and books would be appreciated, plus any unwanted archaeology/local history books including fiction with an archaeological theme.
We do hope that you will be able to join us for this event and we look forward to seeing you on the day.
